Feelings, Endorphins and Emotions
Dancing has been scientifically proven to help boost mood-how cool is that! There is no denying that for many people dancing feels good, but why?
Dancing causes a much bigger release of endorphins compared to other types of exercise. Endorphins are neurochemicals that promote an overall sense of wellbeing by helping to improve your emotional state and reduce your perception of pain. As well as boosting happiness and self-esteem dancing, has also been associated with improving our own awareness of our body. Modern technology has left many people sitting down all day experiencing very little movement in a singular 8 hour period. Dance encourages us to move and be free which gives many individuals the feeling of being alive. Dancing also offers a great ability for people to socialise and share something they enjoy with others. The power of being with other people who love the same thing as you can make us humans feel great!
