Magic, Practice and a Cabriole

The magic of practice . "How do you make that step look so easy?" said the girl who was frantically trying to click her heels together in the air to master one of character dancing trickiest steps: the cabriole (a cabriole is a hop in which one leg is extended into the air and the other is brought up to meet it).

"It wasn't always easy for me" replied the teacher. "My own ballet teacher spent week after week running across the room with me practicing this very step that I am now teaching you!'' My teacher helped me, told me when it wasn't right and told me to practice. Every night I went home and did exactly that: practice. It wasn't easy, in fact many steps didn't come easy for me but I got there in the end and that feeling when you finally get there is magical".

The student smiled silently as she now knew that her teacher wasn't in fact a super human and she too could use practice to master that tricky cabriole step!
