Superstition, Luck and Pineapple Poll

I danced my very first ballet solo when I was 8 years old in the ballet pineapple poll. It was amazing fun and I remember loving playing the character of a sailor onboard HMS victory! Now almost 20 years later I stumbled across a pineapple plant whilst shopping with family and instantly fell in love with it. I didn’t buy it at first because like everyone at the moment, I was trying to be careful with spending. Afterall we were in the middle of a renovation and a door for our bathroom was next on the list to get!

But something changed that when my boyfriend’s brother’s girlfriend said to me ‘Pineapple plants are lucky in Asia’. Now I’m not particularly superstitious but something told me in that moment that if this ever was a sign to buy something this was it. So here am I everyone. The proud owner of a pineapple plant. It actually only occurred to me once I got this plant home that the perfect place for it would be in my new dance office. It now stands proudly in the window and is a great symbol for the first ballet solo I ever did, ‘’Pineapple Poll’.

P.S- I’m not an experienced house plant grower so if anyone has any tips for me I would welcome them with open arms!
